Coon Creek Cove Campground

The alarm went off at 5 AM, and we knew it was time to get ready for our 7:30 appointment to get the engine warning light fixed at the Orr Cadillac dealership in Fort Smith. The dealership was 45 miles away, so we wanted to leave early to make sure we didn't get stuck in traffic.

Before we left, we stopped to take a picture and enjoy the beautiful morning at this gorgeous campground. The park was full of trees, and the birds were singing. It was the perfect way to start our day.

We arrived at the dealership just after 7:30, and the service technician was already waiting for us. He took one look at our car and said that he could work on it outside. We didn't even have to unhook the trailer!

Everyone at the dealership was so friendly and helpful. Ike in the sales department was especially friendly. He told us all about his pro-am experience with a local golf event. We felt like we were in good hands.

The service technician finished working on our car by 9:30, and we were on our way to our next stop. Hats off to Ralph the service manager. We were so happy with the service we received at Orr Cadillac, and we would definitely recommend them to anyone.

We arrived at the Corps of Engineers campground south of Ponca City, Oklahoma, around 4:00 PM. We were greeted by our neighbors, John and Wayne, who were there for a family reunion. They were celebrating the long Labor Day weekend, and we were happy to visit with them.

Our campsite was right near the lake, so Niki and I took a long walk to enjoy the view. The temperature was in the nineties, but it cooled down by late evening. I shut off the air conditioning, opened the windows, and we went to bed enjoying a nice warm breeze.

We woke up the next morning to the sound of birds singing and dogs barking. The sun was shining, and the lake was calm. It was a perfect day to relax and enjoy the outdoors.
